Doryoku Track bar’s philosophy of use & design

We designed this to be the best value bar on the market when it comes to weight, construction, design, add on options, price and total value. All bars are designed by scanning the OEM bumper bar/foam/support so that we can ensure the best fit and follow the existing shape. The track bar is intended to provide many performance benefits for track car applications (drag /road race) while allowing the user to customize the bar as they grow in the sport.

Custom Options

☆ Extended dual drop tow hooks

These welded hooks can be used for easy access tie-down for transport. This eliminates the need to go under the car which interferes with splitters, lips.  See photos in gallery. Note: minimal trimming to the bumper is required.

☆ Hidden Universal tow strap bracket

This welded bracket allows for universal tow straps to be bolted on.  This can be placed anywhere on the bar, driver, passenger or center. Bracket is angled so that tow strap pulls through the grill.  Consulting will be provided before fabrication.

☆ Dual M8 threaded mounting pucks

M8 pucks make it easy to bolt on FMIC, oil coolers, ducting plate, light bar & splitter support rods. We offer 1" and 3" long M8 pucks. See gallery. M8 pucks are placed on the bar based on your setup. Consulting will be provided before fabrication.

☆ Custom powder coating

I stock over 35 popular colors. Powder finish are available in wrinkle, matte & gloss. Please note in "Special Instructions" what color you would like.

Engineering Design Notes

☆ Weight reduction & improved handling by reducing 4 lbs off the nose of the car. Where the weight is removed is more important than just how much. When you reduce sprung weight off the tip/nose of the car, handling and balance will improve. The vehicle's weight balance is dynamic and constantly changing based on acceleration, braking, turning, ect. The vehicle’s balance is easier to control if weight is closer to the center (not past wheels). The further out the weight is, the greater the range/swing of balance.

☆ Replacing the bulky stock bumper bar frees up a lot of room for cooling modification by building air ducting.

☆ For force induction application, more room behind the bumper allows you to run larger FMIC, place FMIC further away from radiator core provides more air flow/speed as it passes through FMIC rather than having air flow slow down due to having FMIC & radiator stacked up behind one another

☆ Tubular bar provides endless mounting options for parts such as oil cooler, tow strap, splitter support rods, tow hooks, FMIC, light bar, license plate bracket, ect

☆ Increase forward chassis rigidity
A strong tubular bumper bar adds chassis rigidity to the radiator core support. The weakest link of the front end is the radiator core support. It comprises thin stamp steel with huge opening compared to firewall that is closed off, fender frames that are much thicker steel.  See crash test results from our Enduro TSX.

FAQ

Caret Down
Q1: Do you make a rear bar?

A: Yes! Check our complementary products or shop page.

Q2: Will this bar fit behind my aftermarket bumper"

A: We scanned the OEM foam to create the profile of the bar. If your OEM foam fits behind your aftermarket bumper than YES the Doryoku S2000 bar will also fit.

We have clients using our bar with Voltex, AMUSE R1 , Spoon, bumpers so far (see gallery). If you would like to test fit a bar with your bumper, we can arrange a test bar to be sent. Please contact us.

Q3: What's the purpose of a track bar?

A: We designed the bar for track use and make it easy for enthusiasts to customize it to add brackets or mounts to complete their overall setup & protect their car in event of contact. This bar is lighter, stronger & fits tighter than OEM.

Q4: The OEM stamp steel bar is "straight" & other aftermarket bumper bars are also straight, why is yours curved?

A: The track bar's primary task is to protect everything BEHIND the bar. Imagine a roll cage that has NASCAR style door bar that curves outward to protect the driver from impact. The curved bar is more generous to protect what's behind the bar allowing more room away from the driver vs a straight bar that is easier to make & tube is just inches away from the drivers hip/ribs/knees. The Doryoku bar makes it a priority to move the impact zone farther away from the vitals (core support, radiator, engine) vs a straight bar.

Q5: Can I use the OEM tow hook?

A: Yes you can use the OEM tow hook kit but just the eyelet portion. Doryoku bar places the M12 bung right behind the bumper this eliminates the need for extension rod which is a failure point.

Q6: What is the difference between the M12 tow bung vs a tow strap bracket?

A: Some aftermarket bumpers do not have a hole for OEM tow hook, clients may not want to cut their aftermarket bumper or some clients just prefer a soft tow strap. I offer a bracket that allows you to bolt on your preferred tow strap. The strap can be placed on either side or the middle. Tow strap can be easily removed or tucked up under the bumper when not in use.

Q7: Can you weld on mounting bucks for FMIC, oil cooler, splitter support rods, ect ?

A: Yes, radius M8x1.25. Welded to location of your choice, front, rear, top, bottom....anywhere on the bar. You can pick the location or I can help consult as well.
